About Kalpesh
Hello again! You may have read a short summary about me on the homepage, but I thought I'd share a little more about myself and some photos.
Currently, I work as a Frontend Engineer at Amazon India. Although I have a decent job with good pay, I never stop questioning myself and strive to grow in areas beyond tech.
While I do want to travel more, I don't have a goal to visit every country in the world. I prefer unconventional destinations and my travels are usually unfancy.
I’m gradually improving my travel skills. I'm less worried about layovers, currency, and accommodations. I can use public transport with ease and pack my rucksack more efficiently. I'm working on creating my own travel framework to plan trips more quickly.
Aside from travel, I enjoy swimming (although I'm still a beginner), and reading books (although I have a few unfinished ones, such as "How To Live"). I like watching both flop movies and classic movies, and I maintain my own watchlist. During COVID, I became interested in insurance and investments and curated my learning resources.
I'm fortunate to have met people through Twitter who I also connect with in real life in Bangalore. I learn a lot from them. I give back to the community by virtually connecting with people through Short Konnect.
I like my coffee strong and beer bitter. I usually avoid pretentious places and instead find peace in walking, meeting people in small cafes, learning their perspectives towards life, enjoying sunshine, organizing my stuff, watching travel videos, appreciating good food, and helping people.
I'm privileged enough to support girls' education in Ladakh and have pledged to do more to support kids and different communities throughout my life across the globe.
I would love to connect with you on Twitter or Short Konnect, or in person in Bangalore.
